Ronde tafels of toch lekker met z’n allen aan één lange, wat is nou de beste keuze? Dit is een vraag waar veel bruidsparen mee te maken krijgen. Tegenwoordig zijn lange houten tafels een gewilde set-up, het ziet er gezelliger/huiselijker uit dan ronde tafels die misschien een chique/stijve indruk kunnen geven. Round tables or to sit nicely all together on one long one, what is the best choice? This is a question many bridal couples face. Nowadays, long wooden tables are a popular set-up, it looks cozier / more homely than round tables which might give a chic / stiff impression. Let's contrast the pros and cons. Are you on team round or team long table?

Team Ronde Tafel

Ten eerste moet je rekening houden met de beschikbare ruimte. Ronde tafels zijn wat makkelijker te plaatsen in een zaal of een kleinere tuin. Misschien is de vorm van de zaal wat vreemd en past die lange tafel er net niet mooi in. Ook is het zo dat je vaak meer mensen kwijt kunt in een ruimte wanneer je voor ronde tafels kiest.

Heb je je feest in dezelfde ruimte als je huwelijksdiner? Dan zijn ronde tafels een stuk makkelijker te verplaatsen. Je kunt er zelfs een aantal laten staan terwijl je ruimte creëert voor je eerste dans in Toscane.

De decoratie kost minder. Laten we uitgaan van een tafel van 10 personen, in het midden van die ronde tafel past 1 bloemstuk waar iedereen zicht op heeft. Diezelfde 10 personen zitten aan een lange tafel van 3 meter waar je toch minstens 2 à 3 bloemstukken op kwijt kunt.

Ronde tafels met een mooi tafelkleed zijn chique! Dit valt niet te ontkennen, wanneer je aan een Black Tie huwelijk denkt dan denk je toch eerder aan rond dan aan lang.

Team Round Table

Firstly you have to take the available space into account . Round tables are somewhat easier to place in a room. Perhaps the shape of the space is a bit strange and that long table just doesn't fit in nicely, then round tables are your friend. It is also true that you can often accommodate more people in a room when you choose round tables.

Do you have your party in the same room as your weddingdinner? Round tables are a lot easier to move. You can even leave some on the side while you create space for your first dance in Tuscany.

The decoration costs less. Let's assume we have a table of 10 people, that table can fit 1 flower arrangement in the center. The same 10 people are seated at a long table of 3 meters on which you will need to place at least 2 to 3 flower arrangements, unless you are ok with the people at the ends not enjoying the florals as much

Round tables with a beautiful tablecloth are chic! This is something that cannot be denied, when you think of a Black Tie wedding reception you are more likely to think of round than long.

Team Lange tafel

Gezellig! Laten we eerlijk zijn.. wanneer je iedereen bij elkaar ziet zitten en het glas ziet heffen ter ere van jullie huwelijksdag dan krijg je spontaan zin om aan te schuiven. Ook zijn de lange tafels vaak van rustiek hout gemaakt en heb je geen tafelkleed nodig, dus het is een minder formele, family style look.

Er passen meer bloemen op tafel :) Wanneer je een echte fan bent van rijkelijk gedekte tafels met veel bloemen en kaarsen dan is die lange tafel echt iets voor jou. Op een ronde tafel van 10 personen heb je max 40 cm diameter ter beschikking terwijl je op die lange tafel van 3 meter makkelijk een mooie runner van 3 meter kwijt kunt. (of een hèleboel vaasjes met bloemen en kaarsen)

Je kunt verschillende vormen maken. Of je een U of een M vorm wilt, twee lange rijen, alle tafels los van elkaar, je kunt alle kanten op!!

Team Long Table

Cozy! Let's face it ... when you see everyone sitting together and raising the glass in honor of your wedding day, you spontaneously feel like joining in. The long tables are often made of rustic wood and you don't need a tablecloth, so it's a less formal family style look.

You can fit more flowers on the table :) If you are a real fan of richly set tables with lots of flowers and candles, then that long table is the best choice for you. On a round table of 10 people you have a maximum of 40 cm diameter available while on that long table of 3 meters you can easily place a nice runner of 3 meters. (or tòns of vases with flowers and candles)

You can make different shapes. Whether you want a U or an M shape, two long rows, all tables separate from each other, you can place them in all directions !!

Combinatie

Als je geen keuze kunt maken dan is er altijd nog de mogelijkheid om te combineren. Hiervoor moet je dan wel met een iets grotere groep zijn zodat je 4/5 ronde tafels en minstens 6 meter lange tafel hebt. Een gezelschap van 70 à 80 man is hier prima voor geschikt. Dan heb je van beide opties het beste :)

Combination

If you cannot make a choice, there is always the option to combine. For this you have to be with a slightly larger group so that you have 4/5 round tables and at least one table of 6 meters long. A group of 70 to 80 people is perfectly suited for this. Then you can have the best of both worlds :)
